Spurt in theft cases in state

Shillong: Miscreants broke into the house of Parvati Misra at Dinesh Compound, Nongsohphoh, on October 4 at 1 pm, and stole cash of Rs 20,000 and other household materials.
In another incident, a shop owner, Ram Naresh Singh lodged a complaint that the main door of his store room situated near ICICI bank in Iawmusiang, Jowai was found broken and when checked it was also found that articles worth Rs. 7000/- was stolen by miscreants.
The stolen items include four cartons of potato chips and one carton of light bulb.
The accused Hasaki Passah, (26) was arrested handed by Police Patrolling party while he was trying to flee away with the items.
