SHILLONG: Mawkynrew Block Congress Committee (MBCC) including axed president, ER Thangkhiew, B. Nongspung, Vice-President and Teilang Blah, member and 2008 MLA candidate have decided to leave the party.

The leaders have decided to extend their support to Remington Pyngrope, MLA from United Democratic Party (UDP) to ensure his victory in the 2018 Assembly elections.

In a public meeting held on Saturday in which 42 units of the MBCC attended, the MBCC has termed the dissolution of the MBCC by the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) as disrespectful and inhuman as it was done without consultation with the people.
