Mission Indradhanush launch in state tomorrow

SHILLONG:  The State Launch of Intensified Mission Indradhanush will be held at Ganesh Das Government Maternal and Child Health Hospital at 10:30 am on Monday. 
Aiming to focus on areas with low immunisation coverage, Intensified Mission Indradhanush drives will be conducted in East Khasi Hills, East Jaintia Hills, West Jaintia Hills, South West Khasi Hills, North Garo Hills, West Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills and only in the urban area in West Khasi Hills District.
To accelerate this coverage, Mission Indradhanush was envisaged and implemented since 2015 to rapidly increase the full immunisation coverage to 90 per cent.
The National Health Mission and State Health Department, Meghalaya have urged all parents of children less than 2 years of age and pregnant women who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated to come forward and avail the services especially provided for them.
