SHILLONG: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment and president of Republican Party of India, Ramdas Bandu Athawale launched his party here in Shillong on Saturday.
Speaking to media persons, Athawale said that there is no development in Meghalaya and he sought the support of the people of the state for the party which has its roots in the Scheduled Castes Federation led by Dr. BR Ambedkar.
Stating that his main aim is to develop the North East region, Athawale said “There would be no problem for the NDA government to come back to power in 2019, under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.”
He also said that people should give some more time to the prime minister to develop the country.
