Cops seize coal-laden truck, arrest driver

NONGSTOIN: Nongstoin police seized a coal-laden truck (AS 01 AC 8401) and arrested the driver during a routine check at Thahkanar in West Khasi Hills on Tuesday night.
The driver, identified as Charlestar Marwein from Mawrang, Rambrai, was attempting to illegally transport the coal to Assam.
Patrolling teams conduct regular checks in the coal mine areas.
