Two killed in road mishaps

SHILLONG: Two persons died in separate road accidents in the state, including one in the city on Saturday.
A bus (bearing registration number ML-05-8034) driven by Indropal Singh (45) collided head on with a motorcycle (ML-05P-9307) injuring rider Rudy Shadap (21) and Lenny Pyngrope (21), who was riding pillion, at Laitumkhrah here at 12.10 am on Saturday. The duo were admitted to Nazareth Hospital where Pyngrope succumbed to his injuries.
In another incident, Abdul Rahim, a beggar, was killed after he was knocked down by an unidentified truck at Byrnihat at 12.15pm on Friday. The victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Byrnihat public health centre, where the attending medical officer declared him dead.
A Maruti Alto-800 (number unknown) knocked down a person at Laitlyngkot market. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital.
