SHILLONG: The former cadres of Achik National Volunteer Council-B (ANVC-B) are yet to receive the rehabilitation package almost three years after disbanding the outfit.
In a statement, A.R. Marak, the former organising secretary of ANVC-B said that a very few had submitted the account numbers to the leaders of the disbanded organisation which had been submitted to the government.
“However, some cadres submitted their account numbers to the nearest police station without the knowledge of the leaders and it was found that some of those accounts are not normal accounts”, Marak said, adding that some accounts were closed since there were no transactions.
According to ANVC-B, all cadres, who have not checked their accounts, should do so on a priority basis whether their accounts are still active or not.
“If the accounts are normal and verified through KYC, they should submit their account numbers immediately to the respective SPs’ office, the ANVC-B said in the statement.
