SHILLONG: An Inter-School Talent Competition on the Gospel and the Culture was organised at St Mary’s Montessori School in the city for the ‘Young Catholic Students’ on Sunday.
Youth and Gospel, or YOUGO, recorded 600 participants from 15 schools in and around the city.
Loreto Convent School Laitumukhrah, secured the first place followed by Little Flower School, Malki, and St Francis School, Smit. Sacred Heart Theological College Mawlai, the students-in-charge of YCS movement successfully hosted Fr. Sngi Memorial Youth Fest.
Mawlai legislator EmbhahSyiemlieh, who inaugurated the competition recalled the contribution of Don Bosco and Fr. Sylvanus Sngi Lyngdoh.
YCS coordinator Br. Cheriat Jose also narrated the legacy left behind by Fr Sngi.
