Momin threatens defamation against Don Bosco College

SHILLONG: The Congress ticket aspirant from South Tura, Anamika Momin has threatened to file defamation suit and demand compensation of Rs 5 crore from Don Bosco College. Tura and its authorities.
The principal cum secretary of Don Bosco College, Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, had filed a complaint that Momin had withdrawn over Rs 2 lakh without attending to her duty as an assistant lecturer of the College.
However, in a statement on Monday, Momin said that she had met the Officer-in charge Chandmary police station Tura and found that no substantial evidence was provided by the College.
According to Momin, even the SP, M G R Kumar was also of the view that the complaint was aimed at maligning her name and the party.
Momin said that whatever payment made to her seems to be part of her salary as the money has been credited to her account on a regular basis during her association with Don Bosco college.
“Hence it is earned money rather than any kind of fraud involved in it”, Momin said.
