SHILLONG: NEEPCO on Monday clarified that through an order, it had allowed the suspended official Abhishek Kumar to join his duties with effect from July 12, 2016 till the final disposal of the case.
NEEPCO in a statement said that this was following the interim order of the Meghalaya High Court which had stayed the suspension order against Kumar.
It said that Meghalaya High Court by the order on August 18, 2016 quashed the suspension order.
Since the High Court quashed the suspension order, the question of issuing separate order for revocation of suspension order was not necessitated, it said.
“Abhishek Kumar continues in service and has subsequently been promoted to the post of Sr. Manager (HR) and is presently posted in Pare Hydro Electric Project, Arunachal Pradesh”, NEEPCO said, adding that since the suspension order was the ground for Kumar approaching the Court, the question of not receiving the suspension order does not arise.
