New police station
The SP of East Khasi Hills said in a statement that the Diengpasoh police station will be inaugurated on Wednesday at 1pm by Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh in presence of local MLA David Nongrum.
Meeting
The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association, Ri Bhoi district held its general meeting on October 7 at Umkynsier UP School, Jirang Block at 12 pm. The meeting was presided over by Block convener, Sienki O Lamare in the presence of organising cum publicity secretary EG War among others.
Inauguration
A locality in Madanriting, Lumkharkongor, block – D, got a footpath cum two wheeler driveway being constructed with the financial assistance from a social worker and former MLA and MDC of Nongkrem Lambor Malngiang on Monday.

Bihari Welfare Association will observe Chhat Puja on October 26 from 3 pm-10pm and October 27 from 3 am to 6 am.
