SHILLONG:Â The United Democratic Party (UDP), Mawsynram constituency, has welcomed Tamdorlang Risaw along with hundreds of his supporters to its fold.
Risaw, who had contested District Council elections against sitting MLA and suspended Congressman, PN Syiem, will extend support to Olanding Suin, UDP’s candidate from Mawsynram.
This development has served as a boost for the UDP in East Khasi Hills in its preparation for the 2018 Assembly elections.
The UDP leaders who were present on the occasion to welcome Risaw and his supporters, included Rymphang Wansai, vice-president, UDP East Khasi Hills district, G B Kharraswai, chief organiser of UDP Mawsynram constituency besides others.
