SHILLONG : Sadar Police Station in Shillong city on Thursday night detained as many as twenty nine people including nine for bursting crackers after 10 P.M.
Police said that ten people were detained for gambling while ten more detained for drinking liquor and creating nuisance.
Police informed that action as per law was being taken. Police also found that gambling was taking place inside the PWD compound at Barik and one of the quarters of Shillong Club
