SHIILLONG: BJP’s senior leader from Assam, Dr Himanta Bishwa Sarma on Friday attended the extended core committee meeting of the state BJP party in one of the resorts in Umiam in the state.
State BJP functionaries said that it was an internal meeting and various issues pertaining to the party in view of the elections were discussed. The meeting reviewed the prospects of the party in Assembly constituencies under Shillong Lok Sabha seat in the state.
The meeting was attended by representatives of different organisations of the party besides the party leaders. Dr Sarma left for Guwahati after attending the meeting.
