SHILLONG: The officials of the Election Commission of India will visit the city to assess the poll preparedness.
A state election official said on Saturday that due to the Diwali celebrations, the visit of the team of officials from the Election Commission of India was deferred.
The state government is prepared to hold the polls anytime though the enumeration of voters will continue for few more months.
