Missing
Bandarash Kharmudai (40) was reported missing from his residence at Pohkseh West-II, Shillong since October 21.

Theft
Balari Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on October 20 around 2.30 pm, her dumper truck (ML-10B-4160) was stolen by unknown miscreants from Umroi Nongrah . On the same evening, the vehicle was recovered along with one occupant , Md. Ajgarth Ali (33) from Gurchuck Charali, Assam.

Coal mining detected
On October 18 around 2 pm, during a surprise raid of a coal mining site at Shkentalang (WJH), police found that there seems to be fresh mining of coal. In this regard, mining tools and materials suspected to have been used for mining of coal were found at the mining site.

Assault
On October 17 around 1 pm, Tillin Kharsati was assaulted by Kaisar Nongdhar of Nonghali and also threatened her with dire consequences. Police arrested the accused.

Abductee released
On October 17, Md. Masidur Rohman from Rongdi A’ding near Bandarigre in South Garo Hills was abducted by unidentified armed miscreants. A further report received indicated that Md. Masidur Rohman has been released by his abductors on the night of October 19 at a place near Baromile under Chokpot PS (SGH). In this connection, police arrested one Donin Ch Marak of Nokatgre village for his involvement in the case. It was reported that the abduction was carried out by one Job and his gang of petty criminals.
