Six injured in accident

Shillong: Six persons from Assam, including a teenager, were injured when the taxi they were travelling in met with an accident at 4th Furlong, Polo, early on Saturday morning.
The vehicle was coming from NEIGRIHMS and was on its way to Police Bazar when it collided with a truck around 5.45am.
The injured persons have been identified as driver Wanrapborlang Tymmenniang (28), Shantilal Narzary (45), Maria Narzary (18), Rambhawarji Swari (30), Hirangtho Swari (30) and Frojid Narzary (25).
One of the five persons was being treated at NEIGRIHMS.
They had planned to go back to Assam on Saturday.
The 108 ambulance based at Lawmali was dispatched and the victims were taken to Shillong Civil Hospital.
