New Delhi:  Home Minister Rajnath Singh met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here on Thursday, days after the Centre named former Intelligence Bureau chief Dineshwar Sharma as its interlocutor for talks in the troubled state.
“The meeting began at around 11 a.m. and went on for an hour and a half,” a Home Ministry official told IANS. The two leaders met at the Home Minister’s office in North block.
The Chief Minister arrived here in the morning along with a team of state government officers, including Chief Secretary B.B. Vyas.
It was Mehbooba Mufti’s first meeting with Rajnath Singh after the government on Tuesday said Sharma will have a “sustained” dialogue with “all stakeholders” to solve the problems in Jammu and Kashmir.(IANS)
