MLA urges students to be virtuous

SHILLONG: UDP MLA Embhalang Syiemlieh imparted moral values to students in an event on Friday. The Sacred Heart Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Mawlai, celebrated Parents’ Day on the school premises.
The programme which was organised on the theme ‘Parents- God’s Most Precious Gift’ was attended by Syiemlieh as chief guest and MDC PT Sawkmie as guest of honour.
Speaking at the occasion, Syiemlieh urged the parents to encourage their children to always do the rightful while Sawkmie acknowledged the works of the Christian missionaries who have contributed to the development of the country.
The school authorities also felicitated the school’s SSLC rank holder of 2017, Prettynis Hadia during the programme.
