Survey
As part of the National Achievement Survey (NAS) to be held on November 13, school principals/Headmaster should inform the teacher/students/parents of the selected school of the national event. Furthermore, the selected schools should instruct their children to attend regular classes without fail on November 13 and district officials to ensure that no school shall conduct examination or any other activities on that day.

Medical camp
We Care Foundation conducted a medical camp at Mawlyngot village on October 21 in which 80 per cent of the villagers, including women and children,attended the camp.The secretary of the village has thanked BR Medhi, the chairman of the organisation and all the staff for making the camp a successful one.

Musical
Kiddies Corner Secondary School will stage a mini musical , “To my grand children, with love”, which will include “Wedding of the beauty and the beast, Say I Do,” from the Babies and ” A canvas of creativity,” by the juniors and the middle section to be held on November 3 and 4 from 4:30 onwards at the school campus.

Gratitude
Ka Synjuk ki Khun ka Elaka Sohbar has expressed its gratitude to the members of the Hima Sohbar for their help and assistance during the Mega Health camp held at Sohbar village. The health camp was organised by Rotary Club of Orchid City in collaboration with Super Care Hospital, Shillong, on October 28.
Competition
Geetali, a socio cultural organisation, will organise the Late Prof. Romen Das Memorial Inter Higher Secondary and College Invitation Debate and Quiz Competition on November 4 at Laban Bengalee Boys’ HS school auditorium at 10am and 2pm respectively. For the debate competition the topic is Motion: ‘English as a medium of instruction, is preferable to the mother tongue in primary education’ “.

Run for unity
A programme ‘Run for Unity’ will be organised at 6am on Tuesday at Fire Brigade, Madan Iewrynghep.

Awards
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Meghalaya is organising U Tirot Singh Best Students’ award for the meritorious students of Shillong on November 4 at Aurobindo Ashram auditorium at 11am. Meritorious students from different schools are requested to send the top scorers of SSLC and HSSLC examination 2017 and to contact the ABVP office 9615200079/ 7627981505 on or before November 2 to receive the awards.

Achievement
Aasma Chettri, a Class-II student of All Saints’ Diocesan HS School, secured 1st position in level 8 in the Aloha Abacus Junior State Level Competition held in Assam on October 29.
