Man stabbed to death in EJH

JOWAI: A man was stabbed to death following a brawl in a wine shop in East Jaintia Hills district on Monday night.
The victim, identified as Maidiar Tyngkan of Mushrot village, was stabbed to death by 58-year-old Stel Shyrmang inside the unauthorised wine shop at Mookhep village in the district.
Reportedly, Tyngkan along with his friends was consuming alcohol and suddenly got into an argument with Shyrmang. Thereafter, while both were engaged in a fist fight, Shyrmang takes out a knife and stabs Tyngkan, killing him on the spot. Police arrested the accused with the help of the village defence party.
