Meghalaya cop to represent India in world body building meet

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Body Building and Fitness Association (MBBFA) which is affiliated to World Amateur Body Building Association (WABBA) has named Prosonto Basumatary as its representative for the upcoming body building event, Mr Universe Championships, to be held at Budapest, Hungary from November17 – 20

Prosonto Basumatary would be representing India along with 17 other players including officials and Indian team coach and Manager to Hungary.

Prosonto Basumatary is a constable in the Meghalaya Police Department. He will be the first body builder ever representing Meghalaya in the Mr Universe Championship.

Coming from a humble background Prosonto Basumatary has laboured through tough times to be able to shine and finally be a part of the National team to represent not only the state of Meghalaya but also India.
