Three dead in separate mishaps

SHILLONG: Three persons were killed in a separate road accidents.
On October 29 around 5 pm, one Maruti Alto-800 (ML-05L-8887) driven by Anil Chandra Bonik fell into a deep gorge at Wah Nongrum, Siatbakon under Pynursla Police Station. As a result, the driver sustained injuries and was shifted Woodland Hospital, Shillong, where the MO declared him brought dead.
One Rural taxi (ML-11-0052) driven by Vicky Nongdhar knocked down a pedestrian identified as Ena Khonglam (55) at Sohryngkham on October 28 around 5.15 pm. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver was detained.
On October 26, a person (whose identification is not known) was fatally run over by a truck at Mawkhanu Toll Gate, Shillong By-pass.
