SHILLONG: The Federation of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP), Garo Hills zone has petitioned the PWD, demanding the department to repair the pothole-filled roads in the heart of Williamnagar town besides black topping all the approach roads as well.
The NGO in a petition submitted to the Executive Engineer, PWD said that the pot holes have become a great inconvenience for vehicles which often get stuck in the huge potholes and students travelling through the roads to school often get delayed in their commute.
The NGO has also asked the PWD to widen the stretch of road from Chisobibra to tri junction to Williamnagar town and from Williamnagar town to Nengkhra road by two feets from both sides.
