One stabbed to death
V. Siangshai lodged a complaint that on October 30 between 7 pm and 8 pm, one Stel Chyrmang fatally stabbed her husband Maidar Tynkan at Mookhep (EJH). The accused person also caused injuries to one Ewanki Pariat.
Woman cheated of Rs 47k
Sallyia Lyngdoh Nonglait of Lawsohtun, Block-III lodged a complaint that one Ankit Sharma who claimed himself to be an associate member of monster.com cheated her of Rs. 47,500.
Over Rs 1 lakh withdrawn
Hilda Nolis Hujon of Kench’s Trace, Shillong lodged a complaint that in the month of July and August 2017, her nephew Kitbok Hujon fraudulently withdrew Rs. 1,50,000 from her account.
Taxi driver robbed
Franky Pyngrope lodged a complaint that on October 25, two persons boarded his local taxi (ML-05K-5033) from Ladrymbai (EJH) for Jowai (WJH). Later, the unidentified persons abducted him at knife point and drove his vehicle towards Shillong. On reaching at Shillong By-pass, the miscreants robbed him and fled away.
In another incident, Nangiadalang Surong lodged a complaint that on October 28 afternoon one person hired his taxi from Bimola Point to Fire Brigade, Shillong. However, the person got down at Police Bazar, Shillong. Later, the complainant realised that the passenger has stolen his wallet containing cash RS. 14,000-, EPIC, Driving License, ATM card, etc.
Theft
Priyanka R Marak lodged a complaint that on November 1, miscreants stole CCTV desktop, Wifi-router and bakery items from her residence at Lower Motinagar, Shillong.
On October 28 between 10 am and 8 pm, miscreants broke into the residence of Shympada Choudhury at Sylhetipara, Laban and stole gold and silver jewelries, four Passbooks, three Cheque Books and three Passports in the name of the complainant, Manjushree Choudhury and Suchismita Choudhury.
Man duped into selling car
Sanjeev Sharma lodged a complaint that on March 1, 2017 he purchased one Bolero (ML-05P-9960) on finance and on verbal agreement he gave the said vehicle to one Deep Singh Chadda of Sweeper Lane, Iewduh, Shillong with vehicle documents, and to pay the complainant Rs. 18,000 per month. However, since last week Deep Singh and the vehicle whereabouts is not known.
Accident
On November 1 around 10 pm, one Tata Indica (ML-05C-6313) dashed against one motorcycle (ML-05J-5305) ridden by Andreas Sangriang (19) at Mawlai, Nongkwar, Shillong. Sangriang sustained injuries and was hospitalised. The matter is under enquiry.
Assault
On November 1 circa 5.30 pm, two persons Kevin Derick Dkhar ( 18) and one Ferick Kharmuti (19) along with one unidentified person assaulted Nabojit Das near Iew Shillong, Laitumkhrah. Police arrested the accused.
Illegal coal mining
On November 1 circa 7 am, Police detected one truck (A/F), while transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Soo Kilo area , in East Jaintia Hills. However, on seeing the Police, the trucker fled away.
Same morning, Police detected some labourers loading coal into one truck (A/F) in violation of NGT order at Soo Kilo area However, labourers and the trucker managed to flee.
