SHILLONG: Teachers of elementary schools have decided to boycott the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) 1st batch (2013) examinations and will stage a sit-in demonstration with black flags at the Additional Secretariat parking lot on Thursday.
The examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will commence from November 9 to 21.
The teachers will protest against the lackadaisical attitude of the state government and NIOS in taking corrective steps with regard to the anomalies in results of the first batch of candidates, said HM Marbaniang, general secretary, Meghalaya SSA Schools Association in a press statement.
