Worker buried alive
SHILLONG: A worker was caved in recently causing his death in South West Garo Hills. According to police, on November 5 at around 2.30 pm, while Ajit Hajong was engaged in earth work at Amtoli in South West Garo Hills, earth caved in and buried him alive. As a result, Hajong died on the spot.

GPNLA threat
SHILLONG: A person identified as Koiser Ali lodged a complaint that on October 20 at around 6.58 am, he received an anonymous phone and the caller identified himself as 2nd Commander of Garo People National Liberation Army (GPNLA) demanded Rs. 2 lakh. The caller instructed him to pay the money on October 30 and threatened him with dire consequences.

Threat to village elders
On November 7, Kesar Nongbsap lodged a complaint that one Balan Sawkmie (28) threatened the village elders at Mawlaingut Pyllun village in East Khasi Hills.

One knocked down
On November 6 around 12.30 pm, a vehicle knocked down Fastmond Rose Marwein (32) at Mawklot, Upper Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Woodland Hospital.

Assault
On November 6 around 8 pm, one Rilang Lamin and his accomplices assaulted Iasha Rhngshai (30) at Umken village (EKH) under Pynursla PS causing injuries to him. The victim was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong.
Motorcycle rider killed
On November 4 around 5 pm, an accident took place between one motorcycle and a dumper truck ML-04C-0451) at Chiehruphi Bazar East Jaintia Hills. As a result, motorcycle rider namely, Indirect Ladong died on the spot.

Theft attempt
Deibormi Toi, SDO, PHE, Amlarem (WJH) lodged a complaint that on November 4 at around 11.15 pm, one Love Liting broke open the main door of his office and attempted to break the safe of the office.

Motorcycle stolen
On the night of November 2, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-7767) from Babupara, Tura (WGH) belonging to Dhiraj Barman.
