Karan Johar, Rishi Kapoor to attend literature fest in Delhi

New Delhi: Filmmaker Karan Johar, actor Rishi Kapoor and writer-lyricists Javed Akhtar and Prasoon Joshi, apart from noted names from Hindi literature, will be a part of the Sahitya Aaj Tak — a three-day Hindi Literature Festival starting here from Friday.
To be held at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, it’s the second edition of the festival, where names from diverse backgrounds like sports, theatre and politics will also participate, read a statement.
The play “Gardish Mein Tare” by Arif Zakaria and Sonali Kulkarni, along with free performances by Mame Khan and Nooran sisters, will add charm to the literature festival, which will be a confluence of scholars, poets, writers, musicians, actors, authors and artists.
Kumar Vishwas, Piyush Mishra, Chetan Bhagat, Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Hans Raj Hans, Jaideep Sahni, Rachna Bisht Rawat, Diksha Dwivedi, Manzar Bhopali, Alok Shrivastava, Sheen Kaaf Nizam, Ashok Vajpeyi, Manager Pandey, Anuja Chauhan, Devdutt Pattnaik, Ashwin Sanghi, Sudeep Nagarkar and Yatindra Mishra are some of those who will be there.
Former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin will also be one of the speakers.
The festival will not just showcase cultural shows and theatre but also promises to give budding writers, a vibrant audience to narrate their scripts and an opportunity to come on a common platform with publications and literary agents.(IANS)
