Truck carrying illegal coal capsizes
On November 5 around 7.40 am, one truck (AS-10C-2254), which was illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order, capsized at Umkiang, NH-44 (EJH) and fell on top of two vehicles (Chevrolet Spark MX-07-2254) and (Maruti Swift D’zire ML-04C-0015).

Man dies after vehicle plunges into gorge
On October 19 circa 3.30 am, one Bolero Camper (ML-11-1151) driven by Anthony Dkhar, plunged into a gorge at a place between Ratacherra and Malidor (EJH). An occupant of the vehicle, Mantu Mallik died on the spot.

Cheating
Parambir Singh, proprietor of SSP Enterprise, Keating Road, Shillong, lodged a complaint that his terminated employee, Jyoti Biswa, misappropriated / cheated large number of cheques favouring JK Tyres and Industries Ltd., with regard to purchase of tyres.

Accident
On November 6 around 3.20 pm, one motorcycle (WB-64-1411) ridden by Riksil N Sangma knocked down Koursh Rabha at Jonglapara (NGH). As a result, Rabha sustained injuries and was admitted at CHC Resubelpara.
One truck knocked down one pedestrian viz., Banteilang Lyngdoh (36 yrs) at Saiden (RB) on November 6 circa 6.30 pm. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Bethany Hospital, Nongpoh. The matter is under enquiry.
On the same day, at around 10 pm, an accident took place between one private car and a scooty (AS-01H-7341) at 15th Mile, Byrnihat (RB). A pillion rider of the scooty sustained injuries and was shifted to PHC Byrnihat. Matter is under enquiry.

Theft
On November 5 around 5.40 pm, miscreant(s) stole music system, mixer grinder and cash Rs. 16,000/- from the residence of Kitbok Yooda Pyrbot at Mawkhar, Block-IV, Shillong.
Nisha Singh lodged a complaint that on November 5 between 4 am and 5 am, miscreants stole computers from her office [Source.dotcom] at Kench’s Trace, Shillong.
