SHILLONG: A woman from Rilbong was arrested from Tripura in a cheating case.Police said the accused who was absconding, was brought to Shillong on Wednesday and forwarded to court. According to police, the accused identified as Babli Ghosh had cheated people by promising double amount of what they invest with her.
The woman collected at least Rs 50 lakh from many people who were compelled to lodge complaint with the police.
