NONGSTOIN: A Nokma of a village in West Khasi Hills was kidnapped on Friday night by suspected cadres of the GNLA.
Police said on Saturday the Nokma of Riangdim, Neelam R Sangma, was kidnapped around 10pm on Friday. The armed GNLA men also gave a mobile number so that the rebels can be reached for negotiation.
Shallang police conducted a search operation but it was unsuccessful.
