National conference
A national conference on “Linking Startups and SMEs in Food Processing with Government Schemes & Markets” will be held on November 15 at 9:30 am. It is organised by ASSOCHAM in association with Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, ICAR Research Centre for NEH Region, Umiam and North Eastern Council at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam. The Governor Ganga Prasad will be the chief guest.
Admin unit
The Government of Meghalaya created a new Administrative Unit to be called Rongjeng Administrative Unit in East Garo Hills District, with its headquarter at Rongjeng and the the unit will function from its headquarter with effect from November 14.
Meeting
Members of Meghalaya State Olympic Association will have the annual general meeting on November 16 at MSOA Conference Hall, Lower Lachumiere at 6 pm.
A meeting on recommendations of the study on Social, Economic and Political Empowerment of Women in North Eastern States will be held on November 14 at NEC, Nongrim Hills, Shillong from 9:30 onwards.

Seminar
An international seminar on Narratives of Violence and Terror in South Asia, sponsored by the North East Council, NEHU and ICSSR-NERC will be held at the Old Guest Auditorium, NEHU Campus on November 16-19. The seminar in 4 plenary sessions and 12 academic sessions houses 55 scholarly presentations that will discuss several themes of violence and terror. There will also be a panel discussion on ‘Terror in Global/Local Contexts.’
