SHILLONG: A fresh FIR has been filed against the Khasi Students Union members after they defaced signboards at Rama Krishna Mission Ashram, Cherrapunjee.
The FIR filed by Swami Anuragananda, secretary of the ashram in Sohra, stated that on Wednesday afternoon, a group of KSU members came into the principal’s room and demanded to meet him.
Police said as per the FIR, the KSU members were told that both the principal and the vice principal were attending a farewell meeting for the outgoing students but the KSU members started defacing the signboard that had Cherrapunjee written on it.
Police said the group of boys was the same who defaced the signboards at Sohra post office.
Sohra police so far have registered two cases against the KSU members and investigation is on. Police also said the complainant did not withdrawal the FIR.
