NPP releases three more names

SHILLONG: The National People’s Party (NPP) has announced three names, all new entrants, in its second list of candidates, which was released on Sunday, for the 2018 elections.
The party’s state election committee cleared the names on Saturday.
Sohryngkham MDC Pyniaid Sing Syiem, who recently joined NPP, will contest from Mawryngkneng, Jigur Myrthong from Mawshynrut and former minister Don Kupar Massar from Ranikor. All the three joined the party recently.
In a statement released on Sunday, WR Kharlukhi, chairman of the committee and state head of NPP, said the remaining candidates would be declared soon.
The first list with 24 names was announced on November 9.
