SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma said on Thursday BJP, which is the “political front of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh”, was a threat to the federal structure.
Sangma, during a meeting with women members of the party led by Nongkrem Block Congress Committee president John F Kharshiing at his official residence, said BJP “wants to impose its hidden agenda” on a democratic country, which comprises multitude cultures and over 700 tribes, including those from the Northeast.
“There is a possible danger to the liberty and peaceful diversity that we have attained through the sacrifice of the great Mahatma Gandhi,” Sangma said.
The chief minister also urged the women to work hard and ensure victory for the Congress candidate from Nongkrem.
