Over 10,000 BJP workers to attend Rajnath address

SHILLONG: Over 10,000 booth-level workers are expected to participate during the address of Union Home Minister and BJP leader Rajnath Singh at Polo Grounds here on December 7.
State BJP president Shibun Lyngdoh said on Sunday that from the 29 constituencies spread across Shillong City, East Khasi Hills, Ri Bhoi, West Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills, more than 10,000 booth level workers will gather on the occasion.
Lyngdoh, however, said there would not be any public function.
Singh will first inaugurate the new party office around 10.30 am and he will then proceed to Polo Grounds to address the booth level workers.
According to the schedule, he will leave Shillong at 1 pm for Kolkata.
 BJP leaders Himanta Biswa Sarma and Ram Madhav will accompany Singh.
Lyngdoh said national president of BJP Amit Shah will visit Shillong after the counting of votes for the Gujarat polls.
