The Chief Electoral Officer, Meghalaya has informed that the Election Commission of India has extended the period of filing claims and objections in the state upto December 15. He further informed that the Special Verification Drive as part of ongoing Summary Revision and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit house to house for purpose of verification and Electoral Rolls Revision.

Meeting
The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association (MUPSTA) Mawphlang Block Unit, EKH District will hold its general meeting on December 2 at the Mawngap District Christian Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Mawngap at 11am. In a statement issued on Friday, the association informed that the meeting will discuss various matters such as how to strengthen the organisation in the Block Unit as a part of its grass root campaign.
A general meeting of the Mawprem Modern Higher Secondary School Alumni Association will be held on December 3 from 1 pm on the school premises. The meeting will chalk out the programme for the upcoming Alumni Meet on December 16. Those who have not registered yet for the Alumni Meet can do so during the meeting.
