SHILLONG: The proposed visit of Home Minister Rajnath Singh to Shillong scheduled on December 7 has been cancelled.
Union Minister Alphons Kannanthanam said on Saturday that Singh’s visit was deferred and the party has not fixed any new date.
According to sources, Gujarat polls may be the reason for the postponement.
Earlier, the meeting fixed on December 5 was deferred to December 7.
Singh was to address the booth-level BJP workers covering assembly constituencies of East Khasi Hills, Ri Bhoi, West Khasi Hills and Shillong City during his visit besides inaugurating the party office.
