SHILLONG: Speculation was rife on Monday whether another Congress minister, Celestine Lyngdoh, who was inducted along with Comingone Ymbon four months ago, will resign from the Cabinet and leave the party.
However, Lyngdoh asserted that he will contest from the Congress.
“As you are aware, I was in UDP in the past and joined the Congress and won the election from Umsning. I do not want to change the party now,” Lyngdoh said.
He said there are many contenders from Umsning but added that people would elect him again.
To a query, Lyngdoh said Ymbon in the past had hinted at leaving the party to join NPP.
