Training for election officials underway in Tura

TURA: A three-day residential training on leadership and motivation was organised by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for all the election officers of the district comprising of Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers and Sector Officers at Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School in Tura.

A total of about 200 participants are attending the training programme which began on December 4.

West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh while inaugurating the training programme on the first day emphasised on the importance of developing behaviour competence and motivation for productive teamwork in officials of the districts.

Meanwhile, Dr Tosendra Dwivedi highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence, communication skills, time management for personal and professional efficiency of officials.

A team of expert trainers from the Amity Institute of Training and Development, Amity University, Noida led by Dr Tosendra Dwidevi and other officials will be imparting training to the election officials.

The three-day long training programme will deliberate on subjects like Effective Communication Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Leadership and Management, Team Building, Motivation amongst others. It will also include PPT, role play, group activities and seminar including sharing and interactive sessions during the training program.
