Shillong: Two persons were injured in an accident that occurred before the main dam bridge at Umiam on Tuesday morning.
Meban Diengdoh (21) and Renold Dkhar (18) sustained multiple injuries as their motorcycle skidded and rolled over around 11.30am. Both of them were on their way to Umiam for fishing. The road before the bridge is broken and the potholes make the place accident-prone.
The 108 service at Umiam admitted the victims in Shillong Civil Hospital.
