CRPF launches ‘Clean Tura Green Tura’

TURA : 120 Bn CRPF in Tura is undertaking a clean mission under the aegis of Swachhata Pakwada with the motto ‘Clean Tura Green Tura’ with an aim to spread awareness of cleanliness and greenery among the local youths. The cleanliness mission which, began on December 1 will conclude on December 15.
Kicking off the clean mission on December 1 CRPF personnel including officers took part in a massive cleaning drive in and around the vicinity of the Dikki Bandi Stadium at Dakopgre in Tura. Another road cleaning programme was held from December 2 to 4 which began from Food Corporation of India (FCI) Godown to the Dikki Bandi Stadium. A special shramdan programme was held on December 5 in which personnel of the battalion stood in full uniform in front of the District Employment Office.
A tree plantation drive was also organised on December 6 around the unit headquarter campus and nearby roads where various fruit bearing, ornamental and decorative trees were planted.

According to Commandant, B C Dalbehera more of such programmes will be organized by the CRPF alone or in collaboration with other organizations in the future.
