Section 144 promulgated

SHILLONG: The District Magistrate has promulgated section 144 CrPC in view of the Assembly session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly to be held from December 8 to 14 at the temporary Assembly chamber at Rilbong and the State Secratariat during session days.
The order which came into force on Wednesday will be carried out on December 8, 13 and 14.
The DC has also prohibited assembly of five or more persons within the radius of 500m and 100m near the temporary Assembly chamber and the Meghalaya Secretariat (Main and Additional Building). Obstructing vehicular movement and possession of arms and lethal weapons near the premises has also been prohibited.
