Organic agri awareness for jobless youths

SHILLONG: The District Lum Lyngkien Sohphie of the Presbyterian lyngba through its Social Eco-Life Development Committee recently held an awareness programme for unemployed youth in Mawkynrew.
The programme also included demonstration of organic agriculture and horticulture at Urlong Tea IVSC Ltd at Mawlyngot in the block.
Mawkynrew MDC Banteidor Lyngdoh lauded the Church for organising the awareness programme as “this will help shape the future of the youths”.
Lyngdoh pointed out that it is high time for the state to legislate policies to promote the interests of the youth to make them self-reliant.
