Kashmir school sacks teachers for ‘romance’

Srinagar, Dec 14 (IANS) A private school in Jammu and Kashmir has sacked a teacher couple for their romance, saying it could “adversely affect” the students.

Tariq Ahmed Bhat and Sumaiya Bashir, who worked in a private school in Pampore town in Pulwama district, were sacked for falling in love before they later married.

The couple alleged that the sacking took place on November 30, the day they were married.
