Dec 28, 29 working days: Govt

SHILLONG: Despite protests from NPP and others, the state government reiterated that December 28 and 29 will be working days and not compensatory holidays.
In a statement, the government said all offices and revenue and magisterial courts in Meghalaya will remain open to ensure completion of pending work of the third quarter, including preparation of arrears, pay and others.
All officers are expected to be in station and no leave will be allowed during the period.
This was informed by the additional chief secretary to the government of Meghalaya, general administration (A) department.
