Shillong: Focussing on the need to care for our natural environment, the Choral Evangelists organised a concert ‘Christmas with Mother Earth’ under the direction of Fr. Barnes Mawrie SDB at Mawlai Parish ground. Choral groups and well-known solo singers of the region also joined in to enthral the audience.
The chief guest for the occasion was Ronnie V. Lyngdoh, Minister for Urban Affairs and the other guests of honour His Grace Archbishop Dominic Jala and local MLA Embhah Syiemlieh conveyed their seasonal greetings and urged the people to learn to respect and care for our environment since the Son of God himself chose to come down to our very own universe.
Besides songs, a meaningful short skit of Visitation Sisters of Don Bosco (VSDB) novices of Upper Shillong added colour to the concert.
