Alliance candidate welcomes UDP supporters in Mawkyrwat

MAWKYRWAT: The UDP-HSPDP alliance candidate from Mawkyrwat, Renikton L Tongkhar, has promised that all UDP members would be recognised as his supporters if he wins the next elections next year.
The assurance was made during the meeting at Mawkyrwat Dorbar Hall on Tuesday in which Tongkhar and other leaders of HSPDP Mawkyrwat were invited to introduce themselves to local UDP supporters.
Tongkhar expressed happiness that the UDP Mawkyrwat circle is extending support to him. “Since HSPDP and UDP have formed an alliance to work together in the next assembly elections, I request you not to feel different as you would also be treated as my supporters,” said Tongkhar.
Newly appointed president of UDP here, Anvil Lyngdoh, asked party workers to give their best to ensure Tongkhar’s victory.
Office bearers
UDP Mawkyrwat elected office bearers on Tuesday. The new office bearers include Anvil Lyngdoh as president, Commander Shangpliang as general secretary, Kram Mylliem as vice president and Synshar Lyngkhoi as chief organiser cum assistant secretary, among others.
