SHILLONG: Police seized a mobile phone from a prisoner in Tura District Jail recently.
A complaint was lodged by B.R Marak, jailor, stating that a male warder, Dilrak N Sangma, recovered a new cell-phone along with SIM and 4GB SD card from Dilin M Sangma, who is convicted in a rape case.
The phone was recovered from Dilin on December 16 during a routine checkup. It is suspected he was using the cell phone for committing anti-social activities inside the prison besides conspiring to escape from the jail.
