WJH villager warned against voting in 2018

SHILLONG: Two persons reportedly threatened a resident of Wahiajer in West Jaintia Hills saying he would not be allowed to cast his vote in the upcoming polls. The village falls under Mowkaiaw constituency represented by Robinus Syngkon.
Police said Reminder Shylla of Wahiajer lodged a complaint that around 7.30 pm on December 22, Paia Dhar and Eibormi Dkhar threatened him saying they would not allow him to cast his vote next year.
Poll authorities said they would look into the matter.
